Take Your Snowboarding To The Next Level
Experience snowboarders learn how to maximize board performance by combining the external (centrifugal) force of nature with the internal force created by flexing and extending hip, knee and ankle joints. This combination of two forces creates eccentric muscle contraction by absorbing the energy in loaded, or active, position.
The hardest part about training for snowboarding off-season is that it is really difficult to re-create the external force, and therefore eccentric muscle contraction, when you are actually not snowboarding. So even if you are really well-prepared and have done everything right in the preseason, you are still going to get sore after the first day of the season. The Alpine TrainerTM simulates the eccentric muscle contraction experienced during snowboarding by applying the muscle contraction from flexing the hip, knee and ankle joints against the force produced by the adjustable resistance element of the exercise machine. It can be used as an additional tool in your quiver that will considerably improve your snowboarding skills and transform you into an advanced snowboarder who can dominate any mountain.
- Significantly increase your fitness level off the slopes and performance on the mountain
- Increase your confidence and the ability to carve on a snowboard
- Develop the physical strength and stamina required for snowboarding
- Improve snowboarding technique, including knee steering, weight transfer and body alignment
- Maintain muscle memory off-season
- Condition your muscles to absorb high levels of force through eccentric and isometric muscle simulation
- Practice snowboarding movements all year around, which will translate into performing complex snowboarding motor tasks on the snow with ideomotor effect and without any conscious efforts
- Become more explosive and dynamic on the slopes
